Village Fete

Ok... this is a bit of an English tradition. let me explain. Over here we have something called the 'village fete' (prounounced 'fayte'. It's a very parochial, villagey affair where you can have pony rides, climb aboard the local fire engine, have a go on the coconut shy (i suggest you google this to find out what it is), and eat cakes made by the women's institute. The High Wych village fete where mum & dad lives was no different. Except for the cakes. They were all from Tesco's - the local supermarket!
